Portable Safety Showers

Models 2500 & 2600

These units are proposed for situations were a permanent unit may not be required or a  Portable Warm Water Storage Unit which may not be suitable.

The units can be stored in a small area as they are not larger than an average suitcase.

They can be assembled in less than 2 minutes and are stable when assembled.

Operated by the user when they have entered the unit, the supply line can by left in a live situation which will reduce the time to activate the equipment when required. Both units are constructed of stainless steel pipework with all non-corrodible fittings. They will therefore be capable of being instantly operated when required.

Model 2500

This unit is 20 cm (8") wide x 116 cm (46") long x 38 cm (15") high and weighs 24 kilos. It is constructed of stainless steel pipework with an aluminum tread plate - there are 8 nozzles which provide a gentle flood of water from head to foot of the recipient.

All parts of the unit are permanently hinged together to ensure no item can be lost. When folded the unit is release by one 10 mm pin, on a lanyard, the shower can then be unfolded in the course of being assembled. The items are secured by locking clasps to form a rigid stable unit. This procedure is simple and takes only 1 or 2 minutes to complete.

The water is fed by a flexible hose and is connected to the base of the shower via an instantaneous coupling, other fittings can be supplied if required. The mains water supply is left in a live condition. The shower is operated by the recipient through a valve on the shower.

This allows water to be instantly released onto the user which saves time in providing a dilution of the chemical in contact with the user.

When assembled the shower forms a stable structure

The water feed is supplied by a flexible hose and is connected to the base of the shower via an instantaneous coupling, other fittings can be supplied if required. The mains water supply is left in a live condition. The shower is operated by the recipient through a valve on the shower.

This allows water to be instantly released, onto the user. This saves valuable time in providing a dilution of the chemical in contact with the user. Saline solution or other substance, if required, can be induced automatically into the water as the unit Is operated ( see Control Inducers in section on "Portable Haz- Mat" Showers)
